A scaled-down version of Tiara’s popular 4000 Open, the 3500 Express is a high-style family cruiser with impressive accommodations and superior craftsmanship. Built on a beamy modified-V hull with a shallow keel and prop pockets to reduce draft, it’s designed for stability and efficiency.
The interior is exceptionally spacious for a 35-footer, thanks to the super-wide beam. A large lounge near the cockpit steps converts into a private stateroom at night, with folding privacy doors for both sleeping areas—no curtains here. The dinette seats five with a removable pedestal seat, and a nighttime lighting system activates automatically when stepping on the companionway. The elegant teak cabin sole adds warmth, complementing one of the nicest interiors in any midsize express.
Additional features include a huge transom storage trunk, single-level cockpit seating for eight, and an optional 4-foot swim platform for stowing an inflatable or PWC. Powered by optional 370hp V-drive Cummins diesels, the Tiara 3500 cruises at 24 knots (top speed around 28 knots). The 420hp Cummins or 435hp Caterpillar diesel options cruise in the mid-20s with a top speed of about 30 knots.
